CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

The Federation of New Brunswick Faculty Associations Medal will be awarded annually at each High school in New Brunswick to one graduating student with high academic standing in recognition of a significant contribution or record of contributions to student government. Each year, one medal will be sent to each High School in New Brunswick, with the request that the principal select a recipient in accordance with the foregoing criteria. The medal itself will be given to the recipient by the person officiating at the high school's Graduation ceremonies.

The medal will be l 1/2"-2" in diameter, packaged in an appropriate presentation case. The medal and presentation case will be suitably inscribed in each official language to indicate the source of the award.

The person making the presentation will be asked to read, at that time, the following announcement:

"The Federation of New Brunswick Faculty Associations Medal is awarded annually at each High School in New Brunswick to one graduating student with high academic standing in recognition of a significant contribution or record of contributions to student government. The Federation represents approximately 1250 university teachers, researchers and librarians who work in New Brunswick's four universities."

A Certificate suitable for framing will then be given to the recipient together with the Medal.
